Frequently Asked Wedding Questions

QUESTION - How long before I can expect my wedding photos or video?
ANSWER - I try to take no longer than 14-28 days to edit your wedding photos and video and submit them to you digitally.

QUESTION - How do you get the editing done so fast?
ANSWER -
With my background in sports photography I would at times need to edit and submit photos before the game ended and we even stepped off the field. This has made me very efficient. All the work you see on this website was edited in under a 2-3 weeks so you can see that there is no sacrifice in quality.

QUESTION - Why do you offer this fast editing?
ANSWER -
When I found out that the industry standard for submitting portraits and wedding photos was anywhere between 6-12 weeks it made me sick to my stomach. I cant charge a client thousands of dollars upfront and then have them wait 3 months to deliver the photos. This is also an issue because everyone has a smartphone nowadays so the first images of your wedding you see on social media are grainy phone pictures. I want to deliver the photos to you as fast as possible so people remember the great shots not the grainy and low quality phone shots.

QUESTION - What is the payment schedule?
ANSWER  -
For packages we take 50% of the fee at contract signing and the remainder due morning of your wedding. We also offer savings if you pay a lump sum at the time of signing the contract.

QUESTION - Why do you take fees up front?
ANSWER -
We take the initial fee to secure the date for you. This is a security for us so we are not holding the date specifically for you and you decide to go with someone else last minute costing us a customer that we might have booked on your wedding day. Going into a wedding when the entire fee has been paid lets us focus on our job of capturing your day and not having to worry if at the end a customer is going to pay or not (this has happened). Also there is nothing more awkward then going up to a bride and groom at the end of the night when they are having fun on the dance floor with their guests and being like "well this was nice so can I get paid now?"

How can I trust that you will deliver when I have already given you all the money?
ANSWER -
If I tried to run off with anyone's money the bad reviews I would get online would crush my name and business ensuring no one else would ever hire me again.

QUESTION - Do you watermark images/video?
ANSWER -
Our clients are paying thousands for their finished product. We are not going to slap on distracting watermarks.

QUESTION - Our wedding is during the off season can we get a discount?
ANSWER -
Unfortunately my bills dont have an off season :(

QUESTION - How many photos do you edit and deliver?
ANSWER - I have no set limits. After your wedding I sit down and eliminate any shots that were blurry or unflattering to anyone. I edit the rest of the photos. This could mean you get 500-1000 photos but that all varies on how long your coverage is, how many people are at your wedding, how many locations we shoot at.

QUESTION - I remember you taking other photos but I dont see them. Can you edit them and send them?
ANSWER - I dont withhold any images. After a wedding I sit down and eliminate any blurry photos, exposure test shots, unflattering shots and shots where you had your eyes closed. Everything else gets edited and submitted to you.

QUESTION - Another wedding photographer offers 2000-3000 photos from the wedding, why do you offer less than that?
ANSWER -
That photographer is not going to edit each one of those photos and that 2000 to 3000 will include the blurry and unflattering shots.

QUESTION - How long in advance should I book?
ANSWER -
Your wedding date is not secure till you sign the contract and pay the initial fee. We are already booking 2021 weddings.

QUESTION - What happens if you are sick on our wedding day?
ANSWER -
If I have the flu or a cold I still show up at your wedding. If I got hit by a car and im in the hospital then my associate photographers will be dispatched to take care of you and your wedding. If I am able to then I will still do the edit of your wedding photos. We dont want to leave anyone hanging especially weeks before the wedding.

QUESTION - Are we required to feed you and your team?
ANSWER -
You are not required to feed us because I know that is a extra cost for you. But we will not turn down a meal if offered. If no meal is offered we may still take a break to grab something to eat because if my grandma finds out I went more than two hours without food all hell is gonna break loose.

QUESTION - Can we split up the second shooter to cover getting ready?
ANSWER -
Majority of the time we do not split up as we are carpooling. And if your package includes video I need to be at both locations. I can do this by starting with the groom and the groomsmen, getting our essential shots and then spending the rest of the time with the bride before the ceremony.

QUESTION - We may take a few months to decide on your services, can you offer the same price in the future?
ANSWER -
Your quote is guaranteed for 30 days then it is subject to change if the prices/packages have changed.

QUESTION - What happens if its raining on our wedding day or during our engagement session?
ANSWER -
We can get some amazing photos in the rain, that is why I spent thousands of dollars on buying gear that is weather sealed so I dont have to worry about getting wet. When it comes to your engagement session and you dont want to get wet then we can reschedule. Please be aware that I have limited availability during wedding season and the shoot might have to happen during a week day. For your wedding day I encourage you to buy a couple umbrellas, we can get incredible photos in the rain!

QUESTION - Will you be advertising at our wedding?
ANSWER -
I do not advertise my services to your guests at your wedding. Meaning I dont even give out business cards. If you guys like my work you can pass my information along but on your wedding day, my focus is on you and not on trying to acquire other clients.

QUESTION - What is getting ready to first dance coverage?
ANSWER -
This is my new day rate for my simplicity package. This includes coverage with us starting with the groom getting ready and then heading over bride. Then we finish after the first dance which usually happens after the grand entrance into the reception.

QUESTION - What is getting ready to dance floor opening?
ANSWER -
This includes coverage with us starting with the groom getting ready and then heading over bride. Then finishing about 15 to 30 minutes after the dance floor opens. This allows us enough time to capture everyone having a good time before they start to get sweaty and drunk.

QUESTION - Why dont you offer hourly wedding packages anymore?
ANSWER -
I now have over 150 weddings under my belt and I have come to find out that its hard for the couple to predict a year or two in advance how many hours they will need us for. This adds extra pressure on the couple to either cram everything in during the hours they booked us for or end up paying the overtime fees. The day rates I offer now helps couples feel relaxed knowing if they book a package that is getting ready to dance floor opening it doesn’t matter if the dance floor opens at 8 or at 11, we will be there.

QUESTION - Why dont you come to our area for client meetings?
ANSWER -
As of right now I hold all my meetings at 5251 Dundas st W Starbucks in Etobicoke. This is because of a couple clients that have stood us up in the London and Niagara area. If a meeting is not convenient for you then we can have a phone conversation or communicate through email or social media.

QUESTION - Do you go out and see the venue for photo ideas before the wedding?
ANSWER -
Generally I do not go see the venue beforehand. I may look at pictures online to get an idea but 99% of the time we show up to the wedding early enough so we can do a walk around. If you insist on us going to see the venue before the wedding date I will have to charge for that.

QUESTION - Are there additional travel fees?
ANSWER -
Let me know where your wedding is happening and I will let you know if there are any fees to go there.

QUESTION - Do you offer drone services?
ANSWER -
Due to the new strict regulations in Canada we are no longer offering drone services.
